The Super Serious Show – Los Angeles’ premier genre-bending, mash-up comedy spectacle – is coming to Kilkenny!

This special edition will be hosted by the reigning warrior queen of Irish comedy, Aisling Bea, and will feature Steen Raskopoulos, Natalie Palamides, Barry Rothbart and Kevin Camia.

Host Aisling Bea is no stranger to Kilkenny or to Cat Laughs audiences. Of late, Ms. Bea has been doing our island nation proud with a string of appearances across panel shows, podcasts and, of course, the comedy clubs of Los Angeles and London.

Steen Raskopoulos is one of the biggest names on the Antipodean comedy and improv circuit, and a break-through star of the Edinburgh Fringe. He’s an improv maestro and leading Australian comedy performer poised to make his Kilkenny Cat Laughs debut.

Natalie Palamides is an actress, comedian, and voiceover artist in Los Angeles. She is the voice of Buttercup on the new “Powerpuff Girls,” as well as a writer/performer at Upright Citizens Brigade LA. Natalie is also a founding member of the absurdist comedy group, Wet the Hippo.

Barry Rothbart
is a comic actor and writer from Forest Hills, NY. Voted Top Ten Comics to watch by Variety Magazine in 2013, he is best known most recently for his roles in ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ (2013), ‘Conan’ and MTV’s ‘Punk’d’.

Kevin Camia is a stand up comic from San Francisco now living in Los Angeles. Voted Best Up and Coming Comic at the Rooftop Aspen Comedy Festival, Kevin has been selected as a Comic’s Comic on and had his first CD ‘Kindness’ voted Top 10 Comedy Albums of 2010 on iTunes.

Brought to us with thanks to lauded comedy production company Cleftclips, The Super Serious Show specialises in spontaneity, and is a showcase like no other as the perfect home for the emerging, the experimental and the frankly unclassifiable. This array of affable oddballs keep audiences on their toes as they deftly flit between stand-up, sketch comedy, videos and plenty of other surprises along the way.
