Maisie Adam is a comedian from Yorkshire.
Having tried stand-up comedy for the first time at her local fringe festival, and it not going horrendously, she decided to make a go of it. Within a year, she found herself winning the biggest stand-up comedy newcomer competition (becoming the 4th woman to have done so in its 30 years), opening for major comedians, and receiving a Best New Comedy nomination at the Brighton Fringe.
Here, the northerner and self-confessed “Slave to the Sesh” relays her experiences of navigating the recklessness of Youth with a medical condition that requires you to be a “Sensible Susan”.
Wild Cats is our platform for developing new artists. Every Wild Cat gets a Cat Laughs Mentor and a slot at the “Best little comedy festival in the world.”
