Kevin McGahern

Kevin McGahern

Originally from Cavan, Kevin first began performing stand up in 2009 before joining the popular television series ‘The Hardy Bucks’ on RTÉ 2 as unforgettably moniker Simcard.

After featuring in a number of sketches on the show, Kevin took over as host of ‘Republic of Telly’, initially alongside Bernard O’Shea and Jennifer Maguire, before flying solo in 2015.

Gearóid Farrelly

Gearóid Farrelly

For Gearóid Farrelly, comedy came as second nature.

His comedy career got off to a flying start in 2008, when in the space of a few short weeks he was a finalist in the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? competition at the Edinburgh Festival. A gleamingly polished live performer, he is a regular at Irish festivals including our own Kilkenny Cat Laughs, The Vodafone Comedy Festival and Electric Picnic, and is also a regular touring support to some of the comedy’s top names including the late Joan Rivers.

On television, Gearóid is probably best known for playing Pat the conjoined-twin of Gerry (PJ Gallagher) in ‘Meet Your Neighbours’ (RTE).
