Bernard O'Shea

Bernard is currently the host of the 2FM show, ‘Breakfast Republic’, alongside Jennifer Zamparelli and Keith Walsh.

His entrance into the comedy scene saw him winning the Harp Newcomer Comedy Award in 2000 before performing at the BBC Newcomer Awards the same year. He was chosen to perform at the invitation-only Montreal Just For Laughs comedy festival and has since become a regular at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs in Kilkenny. His Edinburgh Fringe debut received five star reviews.

Since then, he has co-written sketches on Today FM, co-hosted the ‘Bernard and Keith Show’ on i105-107 and hosted ‘Republic of Telly’. Following the huge success of his sketches with Jennifer Zamparelli, he starred in and co-wrote the spin off series for RTÉ2, ‘Bridget and Eamon’.
